President of the Italian Giorgio La Pira Foundation since 2022 and full professor of Institutions of Roman Law and Roman Law at the University of Florence. From 2015 to 2019 she directed the Department of Legal Sciences. She is co-director of the Legal Studies Series 'Timeless Law' and 'Legal Roots Collection'. She deals, among other things, with topics related to family law, the condition of women and the statutes of subjectivity in the ancient world. Her works on these aspects include, most recently, the essays "The boundaries of belonging in ancient Rome: the female model", in "Confini, circolazione, identità ed ecumenismo nel mondo antico" (Mondadori, 2020).
She edited numerous writings by the great Italian statesmen.
