A monk, official representative of Japanese Soto-Zen Buddhism, he has followed the International Prayer Meetings for Peace in the 'spirit of Assisi' for more than thirty years. He has also deepened his knowledge of monasticism in the Christian world. Since 2020, he has been Director of the European Office of Soto Zen Buddhism.
