A pastor, he is the current President of the Conference of European Churches (CEC), the ecumenical association between the Christian Churches of Europe founded in 1959 to promote reconciliation, dialogue and friendship between the various denominations. In June 2022, he was elected president of the Protestant Federation of France (FPF).
